2014 Walk For Farm Animals - Farm Animal Rescue

2014 Walk For Farm Animals

Join us this September 14th for our annual Walk for Farm Animals in Brisbane, QLD.image

WHAT IS THE WALK?

This is a sponsored walk event that raises money for the sanctuary, to enable us to provide facilities that support the rescue of more animals and improves our ability to educate people on the animal agriculture industry.

During the walk, which travels through Brisbane’s central shopping and entertainment districts, we pass out flyers and carry posters demonstrating our support of farm animal liberation.

imageHOW DO I PARTICIPATE?

You can register online for the Walk. The registration fee is $30 which goes towards the cost of the event, including the posters and literature that will be given out on the day. You will then receive a sponsorship form that enables your friends and families to sponsor your participation.

On the day of the Walk you bring along your form and any sponsorship funds. If you registered for the walk before August 31, we will give you a Walk poster that you can carry proudly during the walk and then at home after the event.

FREE REGISTRATIONimage

There is no registration fee for children under 16. If you are over 16 and cannot pay the registration fee, but would like to go on the Walk, please email us your name, address and telephone number to walk@farmanimalrescue.org.au for a free registration.

Regretfully we are unable to provide a poster to those who sign up for free registration, but we will be delighted to have you with us as we show Brisbane how many of us want to see a better world for farmed animals.

imageWALK DETAILS

The walk will be between 2 and 3 kilometres, and will take about 2 hours. We will journey past Queen Street Mall and the South Bank entertainment complex. The exact route is still being worked out with authorities, but we will be publishing details here once the route has been approved.

We do hope that you can attend. This is the only event of this type in Brisbane. The Walk is great for people of all ages, and the people we pass have always been interested in what we have to say. Please join us if you can. The sanctuary animals, and animals trapped in the agriculture industry are depending on us, and on you.
