Why This Walk Matters
Every year in Australia, millions of farmed animals suffer in silence. Confined to factory farms, saleyards, and slaughterhouses, these animals endure lives of deprivation and cruelty—often without the most basic legal protections. While companion animals are protected under animal cruelty laws, farm animals are routinely exempted, leaving them vulnerable to some of the most inhumane treatment imaginable.
The Walk for Farm Animals is Brisbane’s only public march dedicated solely to raising awareness of this injustice and calling for change. It is a powerful, peaceful demonstration of compassion, designed to:

By registering and walking, you’re directly supporting the more than 100 rescued animals at Farm Animal Rescue—animals who have escaped the brutality of farming and now live safely at our sanctuary. Every dollar you raise helps provide food, shelter, vet care, and a life of peace for cows, pigs, chickens, goats, and more.
