Ben - Farm Animal Rescue

Ben

Ben was born at a free range organic dairy farm. Like all males born into dairies imagehe was to be slaughtered when he was 6 days old, so someone rescued him when he was 5 days old. His rescuer very quickly realised that she could not cope, and placed him with a foster carer.

Ben a dairy goat

When he was 12 days old, we came and rescued Ben and his friend Billy and brought them to their forever home at sanctuary.

Ben arrived with a host of fleas, ticks and lice.  We quickly dealt with that, and he and Billy grew quickly and soon after met and got to live with all the other goats.

Ben is a reminder to everybody that meets him that the male babies that are discarded by the dairy industry are clever, fun-loving and affectionate animals who enjoy every minute of running, jumping, climbing and eating they can get. The dairy industry steals this joy from them by slaughtering them before they are a week old.

Ben is looking for a sponsor. You can find out more about our sponsorship program on our website.
