Ferdinand - Farm Animal Rescue

Ferdinand

Ferdinand wandered off the street into a Brisbane area council animal control shelter imagewhen he was barely three months old. Under-fed and clearly uncared for, shelter staff immediately took to his quiet nature, love of affection and general cuteness.

Over two and a half years shelter staff bravely fought off management who were trying to sell him to a sale yard or slaughter him for food. One day they even booked a mobile butcher to come out to turn him into steaks and sausages.

imageStaff at the shelter would have none of it, and were desperately looking for somewhere where Ferdinand could be safe. Once we got the call, we we’re of course delighted to  make the dreams of the staff come true.

After they had protected him for over two and half years, Ferdinand was coming to a place where slaughterhouses and butchers would never be a part of his future. Ferdinand has joined the Farm Animal Rescue herd and has fit in ever so nicely.

We need a sponsor who can take on the responsibility of keeping Ferdinand safe by committing to his monthly sponsorship. Alternatively, donations are always welcome.
