Do you love what we are achieving at Farm Animal Rescue, and want to contribute in some way but not sure how? If you are committed, enthusiastic & reliable, we’d love to hear from you.
Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking volunteers in almost all areas, including but not limited to: public relations, marketing, finance, admin, fundraising, merchandise & procurement, governance, OH&S, web design & maintenance, social media, human resources, event management, analysis, policies & procedures, pasture maintenance, open Days, baking, photography, videography, repairs & maintenance.
Not sure that you have a particular skill or qualification to offer? We have plenty of generalist positions simply seeking someone who can follow direction, be consistently reliable, and work well within a team. If that sounds like you, please send an email to brad@farmanimalrescue.org.au with your CV and/or details of your qualifications, skills and personal strengths. Please also advise what your availability is like and how long you can commit as a volunteer.
Most urgently we are seeking volunteers for our fundraising team. This can involve anything from barbecuing Tofurky sausages, to selling merchandise at a fair, helping out at farm Open Days or selling cakes at a bake sale. If you are able to help out please contact carol@farmanimalrescue.org.au if you are Brisbane based or kirk@farmanimalrescue.org.au if you are on the Gold Coast. If you are able to help out at Open Days, please contact Jessica@farmanimalrescue.org.au .
A lot of the work behind Farm Animal Rescue does not involve spending lots of time with the animals. If you have your heart set on direct animal care, please refer to our intern vacancies. While we agree that there is nothing more rewarding than spending time hanging out with our residents, it is the groundwork behind the scenes that is critical for us to support our current residents and allow us to rescue more.
Please also be mindful that our volunteers also have other personal commitments such as full time work and other operational priorities for the sanctuary. This means your email may not be responded to for up to three days. Please be patient and rest assured that we will respond to your application as soon as we can.
